Finally you can Grow your own Healthy Fruits and Vegetables… This Book will Teach you How! If you are like me then you are concious of your health. You only want to eat what is best for you. Scientific research has shown that we as a society do not eat enough fruit and vegetables. The scary thing is that when we do it has the potential to be contaminated with deadly pesticides and chemicals which are slowly killing and poisoning us. But there is good news… The best and most satisfying way to get your nutritional requirements is to grow your own, that way you know exactly what is going on. So you get the peace of mind knowing that you are not poisoning yourself and the joy and satisfaction of knowing you grew these fruits and vegetables yourself. No patch of land is too tiny to create a superb home vegetable garden. And Home Vegetable Gardening is the perfect book to help you get started on the right foot. If you have always wanted to grow your own delicious, mouthwatering vegetables, fruits and berries now you can do it with a little planning and care and the excellent advice you will find inside this book!. After you have tasted how delicious homegrown vegetables are, you will never settle for that ordinary store-bought produce again! For some, the home vegetable garden is a hobby, for others especially in these days of high prices, a great help. There are many in both cases whose experience in gardening has been restricted within very narrow bounds, and whose present spare time for gardening is limited. It is as a “first aid” to such persons, who want to do practical, efficient gardening, and do it with the least possible fuss and loss of time, that this book is written.

5 Stars excellent veggie garden book
This is an excellent book on vegetable gardening. I like it enough to be buying a second copy for my daughter. No one book covers everything but this is one I consult fairly regularly, especially when laying out a new bed or design. I also recommend Square Foot Gardening by Mel Bartholomew and Postage Stamp Gardening, can’t remember author.

5 Stars This is THE BOOK!
If you are intending to grow vegetables in Central Texas, you MUST buy this book! It is the only book out there that realistically tells you how (and WHEN) to grow vegetables in this, very difficult part of zone 8. ALmost tropical…and yet, so dry……and hot…..and such awful soil we have here! (Well, for the most part.)
It has been THE most useful Gardening book in my collection for the last eight years, and though I buy many gardening books, no other book can begin to touch it (mainly because what they have to say just doesn’t relate to Central Texas!)
